Reports & Metrics
What metrics are available?
ROAS Reports provides 11 advertising metrics out of the box. Five are raw values pulled directly from Google Ads, and six are calculated automatically.
Raw Metrics
| Metric | Formula | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Spend | SUM(cost) | Currency |
| Impressions | SUM(impressions) | Number |
| Clicks | SUM(clicks) | Number |
| Conversions | SUM(conversions) | Number |
| Revenue | SUM(conversions_value) | Currency |
Derived Metrics
| Metric | Formula | Format |
|---|---|---|
| ROAS | Revenue / Spend | 2 decimal places |
| CTR | (Clicks / Impressions) × 100 | Percentage |
| CPC | Spend / Clicks | Currency |
| CPM | (Spend / Impressions) × 1000 | Currency |
| CPA | Spend / Conversions | Currency |
| Conversion Rate | (Conversions / Clicks) × 100 | Percentage |
All derived metrics use safe division — if the denominator is zero, the result is zero instead of an error.
How do I use the Data Explorer?
The Data Explorer is the main reporting interface. You can:
- Pick dimensions to group by (date, campaign, channel, platform)
- Pick metrics to display (any of the 11 above)
- Apply filters to narrow results
- Add custom groupings as virtual dimensions
- Apply saved segments for reusable filter sets
- Export to CSV for further analysis
The dashboard layout is drag-and-drop, so you can arrange metric cards, charts, and tables however you prefer.
What date ranges can I use?
Quick presets are available for common ranges:
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
- Custom date range (pick any start and end date)
You can also switch the date grain between day, week, and month to aggregate data at different levels.
For hourly data, ROAS Reports also syncs hourly metrics where available, accessible via the hourly data grain toggle.
Can I customize my dashboard?
Yes. The dashboard uses a responsive grid layout with drag-and-drop positioning. Metric cards show sparklines and trend indicators. You can view breakdowns by campaign or channel, and toggle between different chart types (area, line, bar).
Why am I seeing sample data?
If you haven't connected Google Ads yet, or if your initial backfill is still in progress, the dashboard shows realistic sample data so you can explore the interface. Once real data is available, it replaces the sample data automatically.
Sample data is clearly marked with an indicator in the dashboard.
